Gender-based violence has presented a threat to the survival of women and children that far pre-dates its declaration as a national crisis.
While the threat shows no signs of passing, this past year we’ve seen mobilisation like never before.
We won’t consider this crisis over until gender-based has been eradicated. Our hope is that one day, we can cease to exist as an Emergency Centre – that women and children will be able to live free from violence. Until then, you’ll find us on the frontline, driving systemic change and building safer futures for all.
